They have a lot of personality and the kind of goofy antics that make for great comedy.

10 Last Kangaroo Standing Wins
Welcome to the jungle baby!
When two kangaroos are in the mood for a great old-fashioned boxing match, you’d better get out of the way. It’s not for the weak, and it’s definitely not for the bystanders.
In this video, these two kangaroos punch each other until one of them falls. This is how kangaroo boxing works: you punch until you can’t take any more, and then you land.
Some people might think this is animal cruelty, but it’s just a fun way to bond with your best friend (which would be these two kangaroos). Plus, it gives us all an excuse to watch some epic and hilarious fights between kangaroos that are often too funny to take seriously.
The last kangaroo standing reigns supreme![1]
9 A Kangaroo Boxer vs. A Human Boxer
It’s not every day you see a boxing trainer go toe to toe with a kangaroo.
Former boxing trainer Cliff Des battled a kangaroo when he saw the animal trying to get close to his dogs. According to him, he still came in second place. The former boxer had been training his dogs when they suddenly started barking at something outside his fence. When he went to check it out, he found a kangaroo standing on the other side of the fence.
A video of the incident shows him walking away from the animal, while his two small dogs look on, barking from behind the barrier. He slips and is then trampled by the kangaroo.
According to Des, this wasn’t the first time he’d faced off against a kangaroo, but it was certainly the most entertaining! The boxer suggested that the animal was flirtatious and he might have mistaken it for a female kangaroo.[2]
8 The Zookeeper Punches A Kangaroo In The Face
Animals are essential to our lives and we want to protect them. But sometimes, they can be a bit too wild.
In Australia, a zookeeper is coming under fire for beating up a kangaroo to prevent his dog from being attacked. The incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral on social media platforms, but has also sparked debates about animal rights and abuse.
The man who filmed the video said the zookeeper only went into action to protect his dog. Most people would have done the same, and a “little bump to the face” won’t harm the kangaroo in question.
Kangaroos wearing boxing gloves are fun, but it’s a different story when they blow up the ringmaster![3]
7 Can a kangaroo and a parrot be best friends?
You know what’s more fun than a kangaroo? A kangaroo being let out of its enclosure by a parrot.
The owners of a kangaroo found wandering through a Louisiana town say a cheeky parrot accidentally let the animal out of its pen. Local authorities said Baxter the kangaroo was safely captured and returned to his home Thursday morning after being seen on camera wandering the town of Zachary in July 2022.
Baxter’s owners operate Bird Recovery International, a non-profit organization that specializes in the reintroduction of exotic wild birds to their original environment. They said that more than a dozen parrots live with Baxter and that one of the birds, nicknamed Thor, has just figured out how to pick the lock on the kangaroo’s enclosure.
Under Louisiana law, kangaroos are exotic and cannot be kept as pets. It is not known if the owners of Baxter, who previously ran a zoo, have an exception for the animal because their charity focuses on animals.[4]

In a hilarious video that has gone viral, a kangaroo attacks the Russian consulate in Australia. After the marsupial was discovered trying to break into a building in Canberra, it appears Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has another ally in his ongoing war with Russia.
The kangaroo is caught on camera hopping towards the gates and pausing to examine what is in front of it. The animal can be seen repeatedly kicking down doors before stopping to rest for a bit.
After struggling to squeeze through the gaps on the first try, the bulky, ripped animal tries again, only to give up and jump at least comically. (But it still looks pretty hard!) Kangaroos are funny and political, it seems.[5]
5 Man runs away from alpha male kangaroo… on crutches
Chris “Brolga” Burns has worked with kangaroos for over 15 years since he saved his first joey. He has since founded a kangaroo sanctuary in Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory. With rescued kangaroos around him, you’d think he knows how to handle nervous beasts. I mean, his nickname is Kangaroo Dundee.
Well, that’s true of almost all of his rescues. Except Rogelio. Brolga raised Roger from when he was a baby, essentially becoming Joey’s mom. So now, Roger is not afraid of humans. And this causes a problem since Roger is now the alpha male of the group and weighs a whopping 200 pounds (90 kilograms).
Brolga recently had to undergo knee surgery after escaping from the aggressive alpha and going down. However, that doesn’t stop Roger from making sure to protect all the females from him when Brolga approaches; after all, competition is competition.[6]
4 Sexy Kangaroo Goes Viral

Everyone loves a good viral story. But what if your viral story was about a handsome kangaroo found in Adelaide, South Australia?
The internet went crazy over this handsome boy when he was caught on camera relaxing in the sun. Deborah Schutz took the photo and said it was one of the most liked images on her account.
Although the kangaroo looks peaceful, remember: if a kangaroo feels threatened, it may become aggressive. Schutz says the kangaroos will go to great lengths to protect themselves in the wild. We must always be careful when approaching one, no matter how handsome it is.
Don’t worry about us. We are content to look at it from afar.[7]
3 Kangaroo loses fight against hammock
Karen Wishart, originally from South Australia, recently recorded a video of a particularly belligerent kangaroo getting into a fight with an intimidating-looking hammock in her backyard. Baby ‘roo is shown circling the hammock as he launches furious fits and tangles his feet as she does so.
Wishart posted on Facebook that she wasn’t really sure if this baby kangaroo was playing, practicing her fighting skills, or actually taking on the piece of cloth. We’re delighted to see this kangaroo avoided harm because backyard swings and trampolines can be dangerous to wildlife, save perhaps for a bruised ego after losing a fight with a hammock.
Male kangaroos engage in boxing matches to secure territory or gain mating rights. This may be a way for the young animal to practice their fighting skills without destroying too many bushes and trees by accident, although there is still room for improvement for this youngster!
It’s easy to forget that kangaroos are wild animals. They are cute and cuddly, so you might assume they are just as tame as your cat or dog. But not! These guys are still wild at heart and as prone to mischief as any other animal on the planet.[8]
2 kangaroos found jumping on a trampoline
You know what they say: you can’t teach an old kangaroo new tricks. But you can make them try.
A lone kangaroo was caught on camera jumping on a diving board in Australia. The video was uploaded to YouTube by Emma Heffernan. It shows the animal jumping up and down on the trampoline, but the kangaroo got nervous when he was caught! Since kangaroos can run at such high speeds on level ground, it’s no surprise that this startled animal jumps too hard off the springy surface.
The kangaroo reportedly escaped unharmed, but this shows how difficult it can be for wildlife to coexist with humans.
Although some believe that the kangaroo was caught practicing his ninja skills, we must remember that a kangaroo zombie apocalypse can also happen![9]
1 Baby Kangaroo Finds Out The Hard Way
You know that feeling when you’re walking down the street and accidentally trip and your face hits the pavement? And then you have to find out what that soil tastes like? Well, it turns out that a baby kangaroo feels that way about dirt.
The San Antonio Zoological Society posted the video on its official Twitter page, adding some simple but fun captions. They explained that these were images of a baby kangaroo’s facial expressions after testing the soil. “Joey from Pyrite put some dirt in his mouth and had a great reaction,” the Tweet captioned along with the video.
In the video, a baby kangaroo stands in its enclosure. After only a few moments pass, he licks some dirt off the ground with his tongue. His reactions afterwards were just hilarious.[10]
